Opposites Attract

They say that opposites attract. In the case of Billy and I, truer words were never spoken. Just to name a couple of things that we differ in...Billy is a worry wort and I am laid back. He is a night owl and I am an early riser.

When we got married, we spent our honeymoon in Lake Arrowhead. The cabin we stayed in was all alone in the middle of the woods and set on a hill with the front door and living room upstairs and the bedroom downstairs. This made Billy quite nervous and, since he was now my sole protector, we dragged the mattress upstairs to the living room (which was no easy feat) and parked it in front of the fireplace along with a baseball bat he found in the closet to beat off any possible intruders.

Then, shortly after nightfall, I conked out and he stayed up for hours. Then before dawn, I was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and he was out cold. What a pair!!!

So, today, I celebrate opposites. Keeping in the vein of our mountain honeymoon, I'll start with the woodsy ones.

NEW

USED

PLAIN

FANCY
It's people time.

YOUNG

OLD
This one is about perspective.

NEAR

FAR
Today Zach was hanging with me because he's on Spring Break. This afternoon I had an idea for a picture and told him to stop what he was doing and come with me for a second. He had no idea what the subject of my blog was, but as he was unexcitedly tearing himself away from his video game he said, "Right now I love you and hate you at the very same time." How appropriately opposite of him.

Meet my friend's adorable turtle Jojo:

IN
OUT
So while I was there I got this one.

SWEET AND SOUR
(Zach was just faking it for photographic purposes)

Here is another picture that handles both opposites in one picture

UP AND DOWN
(you figure it out)
How about a trip to Disneyland?

DAY

NIGHT
Okay, trip over. Let's end the evening with a couple of matchy-matchy bowlers.

Obviously, these last two were not taken by me.

FRONT

BACK
The End.
